E.T. “iPhone” Home…and some predictions

Predictions

iPhone apps will reign supreme in 2011 — so much so that your iPhone will be used as a tv remote.

Internet cafes will witness a surge as social marketing begins to focus more on funneling consumers into “social meet and greet groups” — think Meetup.com meets iPhone app….LAN parties will be replaced with iPhone “App Parties” –

Christmas 2011 – Apple will run  ”wrap an app” campaign just in time for the holidays.

2015 - Virtually all tv shows will be consumer input driven –

[ please God free me from this iPhone maddness..wait it gets even more creepy ]

Both businesses and consumers will eventually look towards the new frontier of commerce and interaction…space.

Don’t believe me?

A special about  ancient astronauts yesterday really had me thinking about life and the pursuit of what some might call happiness.  I don’t know why, but I think the world is about to “revisit” the idea of being well…..”visited” –

But what’s interesting is I decided to do some quick research and…as we examine Google Trends for today July 15th,  2010, this is what we get.

What’s Google trends: Basically, what’s considered “hot topics” by Google. Determined by google searches. (what people are looking at/for)

Hot Topics: #3 - UFO China

Hot Searches: #1 China UFO

…oooh #1 for Hot Topics was “Warriors” –

Not only that, but Google searches for things “UFO” related have been on the rise in both June and July of this year in the United States.

Wait…this is “The Positive Thinker” right?

Yes, but unfortunately even the upcoming doomsday (2012) has brought a few new businesses out of the wood work. Hey, it’s all about the dollars!  Which more than likely would be useless if everyone and everything for that matter in the world were condensed to ashes.

Purge negativty from your life like excess calories from your diet!

Purge negativity from your life, like excess calories from your diet!
Obstacles in life are abundant to say the least. Life can be summed up by forming an interesting comparison. Life vs. your morning commute to work. There’s no doubt you get hit with your fair share of stop signs, stop lights, and perhaps you’re even blessed with getting caught up behind a few school buses…bringing your commute to an utter stand still. You play traffic warrior in an attempt to arrive at a destination that presents even more problems and obstacles than the commute itself, adding to the vicious cycle of what could only be described as negativity infinity. Channels of negativity are ever present, and it’s quite hard to fight the good fight when so many are leaping at the opportunity to drag you down into their self-made pits of hell. But it’s literally all a matter of perception. Our thoughts are the driving force behind every self-made decision in our lives. We have to keep our channels of thought clear and free from negativity. We have to create mental environments in our lives that will allow us to cultivate success. “Think, Plan, Achieve” — and I am endorsing N.L.P. saturation, (google it) for the month of June….and I don’t mean urinating in your underwear. Saturate yourself in success, all forms….N.L.P. ( neurologistic programming), and strong networking amongst worthy individuals. Team build your way to the top! We are living in hectic times. Place yourself within successful channels and harvest the benefits.

“Smart people build networks, while other people look for jobs” -Robert Keyosaki

Lastly, here’s an interesting fact about your workplace. Younger workers want more money, while older workers just want respect. Wouldn’t you agree? Today’s mantra is going to be “Think, Plan, Achieve” — a little free N.L.P. for you.

Facebook scrambles! (I told you so)

Well, I almost feel bad blogging on the same topic(s) as my last post, but it’s just a worthy blog. Facebook will be pulling out all the stops as they attempt to re situate themselves as the #1 (most trusted) social network on the internet. Some things were said and some chat logs from a few years back have surfaced, leaving Facebook to answer for giving your privacy the backseat to some hidden “personal data mining” agenda. I think it goes without saying that we need to be careful regarding what we put out into the world wide social atmosphere. But onto the glory of reiteration! Facebook is already beginning to weaken its grip on the social networking championship title! But of course, it was only a matter of time. I’m not a super fan of the whole social networking marketplace. To me Facebook along with other websites, online services, etc….lack the ability to stay relevant, engaging, and just plain interesting. Personally it’s boring. I’d rather track the ships from that show “The Deadliest Catch” or watch NASA TV. Why? Well with the exception of the deadliest catch ship tracking, these are things that tell me whats going on now. I want to feel truly connected. While blogs may not provide you with a picture of whats going on “right this second” they do provide deep seated details (sometimes) on the inner workings of an individuals life. And to me, this is interesting. Facebook to me is nothing more than a public scrapbook, or a black hole that’s ultimate goal is to suck you in..along with all of your friends, get you hooked on some mini online games, and apparently utilize the power of “opt-in” to steal your personal information.

So where do we go from here, you ask? Wait, another realization is begging for acknowledgment. [to be continued]

Facebook and Craigslist to sleep with the fishes!

Yep, I said it. I’m predicting the demise of Facebook and Craigslist! Why? Simple. “Product evolution”. What is product evolution? Well, you’ve probably never heard of such a thing because I invented the phrase to describe my theory behind the birth and death of the oh so popular products and services that appear and then disappear rather quickly. But to spare you the details including the complete history of both online services, I will cut straight to the point. Internet users have relatively short attention spans. While these products seem to fill a need (a good thing) they are usually trumped later by the creation of newer models…or completely different concepts. I have gazed into my crystal ball and can clearly see what internet users truly want. They want direct lines of communication without any red tape, they literally want to reach out and touch someone (in real-time). They want visual confirmation, visual communication, and 4D interfaces. Sure smart phones make it easy to submit updates on twitter or post your status on Facebook, but we want even more up to the minute communication than “what you were doing a few minutes ago!” Hard to believe…or understand? Picture it this way. If I post a tweet, and you read it 5 minutes later…you only know what I was doing 5 minutes earlier. If I tell you I am “making tacos” by the time you read it, I could have finished making tacos and now drinking a margarita! Simply put. We no longer want to know what you were doing 5 minutes ago. We want to know what you are doing NOW! (This second) And we don’t want to wait for you to tell us…before we can know.

And now the future. (or a glimpse)
Close your eyes and picture a device that interacts with your smart phone. It records and reports your pulse, environment temp, exact location via GPS, automatically streams live video of your surroundings, can tell when you are eating by the changes in your blood sugar, reports how many calories you are burning, can define the types of material your clothes are made up, can tell us what brand of clothes you are wearing by interacting with the labels on your clothing, can determine your variable moods, can report when you sneeze, when your sleeping, what music is streaming through your IPod at the moment, and can tell me who you’re currently sharing a caramel frappe with at your local McDonalds or Starbucks. This is the future. We are becoming a 100% mobile society. Soon we will not have time to “update our status” we will all be providing real time feeds of our lives to millions!

Imagine how creepy it would be if a company could tell you how many people are wearing their jeans, shoes, or even using their writing pens right at this very moment! Imagine being able to monitor blood sugar levels in real time, 24/7. Imagine being able to not only locate the restaurant your friends are eating at, but being able to see what they ordered from the menu, and revealing what you may have in common with the other people in restaurant without even being there. Yeh, there’s an app for that!

Be The Inspiration

I must admit, strange things inspire me each and every day. I’ve mastered the art of becoming inspired by so many things, in so many ways.  I guess you could say that I’m addicted to inspiration. When I see other inspired people, that inspires me as well. It’s gotten so bad that even negativity, bad experiences, and bad news inspires me.  So what good is inspiration? Inspiration for me is the birth of a new perception, a new view, a new angle on life that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. Inspiration is a tool that you can use to discover new things, chart new  territories, and reach new heights. I came up with a saying a while back…it’s quite possible someone else has already coined this phrase, but I will share it with you nonetheless.  “Be the inspiration.” That line is so important to me.  I always want to be the inspiration. Not that I am all that inspirational, and not so much that I have the desire to inspire others, but sometimes you just have to “be the inspiration.” It’s true, inspiration is important in our day to day lives.  Today you may be inspired by someone who has achieved great success in life, however, tomorrow you may very well be the source of inspiration, having achieved success in your life as well. I know if I want to succeed, I must be the inspiration. When you believe in yourself, you inspire yourself to conquer any goal, solve any problem, or handle any pitfalls that may appear in your life.

The blog heard around the world…

This is my very first blog here at ThePositiveThinker.com! I’m excited to have the opportunity to share tons of information with you from life, business, and the occasional (strange/abstract) experiences I encounter in my day to day. My name is Corey Hill and I’m what you might call an internet entrepreneur.  I’ve been intrigued by all things business since a very young age.  By age 12 I had already read Donald Trump’s first book, and owned his famous (if only for moment) board game “TRUMP” — I crafted various businesses while in grade school…both lucrative and silly. After high school I worked typical jobs until starting my first internet business in 2000. I rode the wave of success for almost 5 years, earning over 20k in my first month alone and 100k in annual profits, until sputtering out due to over saturation of my niche market.

Today, I “surround myself with success” — (ie: successful thoughts, successful people, and successful environments) I listen to successful/motivational speakers Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, and many others.  ThePositiveThinker is an outpost of thought. A chamber of secrets, a real key to not only successful business thinking, but successful life thinking. If I can’t think success, how can I act successful? If I don’t believe in my personal success, how can I believe in myself at all? This blog is about  changing your course in life, it’s about connecting the dots, and aligning the stars in an effort to channel your personal success. We’ll review money making products, explore new ideas, discuss the obstacles in life that makes life so crazy and unpredictable…and much more. If you like this blog please subscribe to it!
